The Home of Fabulous Frenchies

After being involved in breeding and showing Bulldogs for many years, we fell in love with the French Bulldog after seeing one at a dog show over 25 years ago. Since getting our first Frenchie from the renowned Suca Kennels, we have gone on to breed many wonderful dogs and have introduced bloodlines from some of the top kennels around the world into South Africa.

Our Show Team has proven themselves over the years, accumulating many prestigious titles. While we enjoy the showing, it is not the be all and end all of our love affair with this wonderful breed. The joy these special dogs bring to their people is such a blessing. We have a lifetime relationship with our Frenchie Families, many of whom have had a second and third pup from us over the years.

We only breed once or twice a year, as this is our passion and not our job. Our vets, Dr Rachel Shuttleworth: Fertility and Dr Conrad Prins: Frenchie specific issues, are important members of our team and have extensive knowledge of the breed from a veterinary point of view.

All our dogs are fully health-checked before they are introduced into our breeding program. Our puppies are raised in our home, are fully inoculated, dewormed, and health tested before being placed in their new homes at 10 weeks.

We are delighted to announce that we have introduced Hearing Tests into our health checks. Thanks to a new company The Hearing Aide, we can now have BAER tests done in South Africa. The pups are handled extremely gently and it is a complete stress-free process.

Once a prospective Forever Family has completed our questionnaire, their details go on our waiting list. This list is not in any particular order, as we look to match the right families with the pups as they develop. We usually compile a shortlist for each litter and invite those families to the Puppy Open Day. Placing our precious Frenchies with new families is a very personal thing and we always do our best to place the right Frenchie with the right Forever Family. This is not a once off – pay your money and take your puppy thing – our reputation is based on breeding what we hope is the best, healthiest Frenchie possible and then, to always be available to assist and support our families going forward.

We do expect all prospective Forever Families to attend our Puppy Open Days once the pups are ready for visitors. This is usually on a Sunday, from week 4. The Puppy Open Days form part of the education program for all new Forever Families. We also hold a full day workshop on the weekend before the pups go to their new homes. This is compulsory – paperwork, knowledge sharing, etc all takes place on this day. We also invite Hill's to come and talk about feeding and nutrition, but we are always available to provide help and guidance to our families any time of the day or night.

For us….Frenchies are a lifetime commitment…and we love them unconditionally, even when they are with their new families.
