Entry is strictly by invitation only to registered owner, domiciled in the Kennel Union jurisdiction, of a dog or bitch in any pure breed, which has won the highest number of BEST OF BREED awards (Excluding FCI Best of Breeds) during the period 10 July 2007 to 7 July 2008. Exhibitors are reminded to dress in a manner befitting the event. No T-shirts, jeans, or shorts.

OBEDIENCE DOG OF THE YEAR Awarded to the dog securing the highest qualifying marks in Class C in the 2008 GKC show
WORKING TRIALS DOG OF THE YEAR Awarded to the dog securing the highest qualifying marks in TD3 or PD in the 2008 GKC show
DOG JUMPING DOG OF THE YEAR Awarded to the dog securing the highest qualifying marks in Grade 1in the 2008 GKC show
CARTING DOG OF THE YEAR Awarded to the dog securing the highest qualifying marks in either mini or standard in the 2008 GKC show
AGILITY DOG OF THE YEAR Awarded to the dog securing the highest qualifying marks in Grade 3 of small, medium, or large contact agility in the 2008 GKC show
In the event of no dog securing qualifying marks, in terms of KUSA regulations in the above classes, no awards will be made.
 
This show will be held under the Rules and Regulations of the Kennel Union of Southern Africa.
All Exhibitors/Handlers are personally responsible for the control of their dogs at all times and shall be personally liable for any claims which may be made in respect of injuries which may arise or be caused by their dogs.
All Exhibits must be on leads at all times unless otherwise instructed by a Judge.
Bitches in season will be permitted to compete in Breed Classes only. Due consideration must be given to competitors in Obedience, Dog Jumping, Agility and other Disciplines.
The Committee reserves the right to appoint alternative judges at its discretion.
