EDKC Supa 7's Spectacular Toy Group Winner 2024

Just when you think things can't go any better, one is showered with more good fortune. As mentioned before, at Krescendo, my aim has always been to preserve the heritage of Chinese Crested Dogs in South Africa and share my lines with the rest of the world. After a very successful 2023, Salsa has continued to dominate the Toy ring. Not only has she remained the Top Toy in the country for 2024, but her year started out with a huge bang. At the EDKC Supa 7's Spectacular Invitational, Salsa went on to win the Toy Group under respected FCI authority and world-renowned judge, Mr. Michael Forte (Ireland).

Fresh from her trip to the 2024 World Dog Show in Croatia, where she was marked Excellent at all respective shows, Salsa is ready to show like never before at the upcoming KUSA Nationals. Salsa competed against 100+ Chinese Cresteds from across the globe and we are beyond proud to report that Salsa stood runner-up to the World Winner, in the Champion Bitch class. Thank you so much to Gregor Nemanic for showing her to perfection. An absolute dream come true to have Krescendo and South Africa represented on the world stage.

Salsa recently also completed her requirements for her International Champion title, pending FCI approval*. All of this, just before her third birthday, later in May. It is so exciting to think that Salsa is only coming into her prime now. What an exciting time ahead!

As per the KUSA Showdog of the Year results, Salsa is currently:

•  No. 1 Toy Group Winner

•  No. 1 Chinese Crested

•  No. 1 Bitch (All Breeds)

•  No. 4 All Breeds

Salsa is exclusively shown by her expert handler, Néil de Kock. Apart from showing, Néil and Salsa share an unbreakable bond, and the two often spend lots of quality time together. From grooming to handling, to always bringing out the best in my dogs – I would like to thank Néil for his dedication to the team.

My warmest thank you goes out to all the judges, locally and internationally, for awarding Salsa and appreciating her exquisite breed type and qualities. Last but not least, Elena Kaliada, I could not have done this without your trust in me and cultivating this beautiful partnership between Krescendo and Victory's Laurel.
